Meet Lindsay

Opex CCP | PN1 | CPT | FNP

I am so happy you are here! If you are anything like me a few years ago, you have reached a point where you no longer feel like settling for a life of uncertainty with your healthcare. Before this approach, the medical system continued to tell me, "I was fine" when in fact, I felt nauseous every day. I want to use what I have learned to make a positive impact in my client’s lives and help them avoid similar scenarios. Let’s get you back to living your healthiest life.

My Story

After graduating with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, I took a gap year out of school before pursuing what I thought was my dream career as a physician. I  worked as a medical assistant in a practice and as a scribe in the hospital. I learned a lot—but after working closely with my then-boss, a physician, on nutrition and exercise, I realized that there was a large gap in the delivery of healthcare. Were we promoting healthy behaviors or mostly treating symptoms?

With this experience under my belt,  I was confident I wanted to make an impact in the field but knew that I should do it as something other than a physician. I decided to study cardiac rhythm management while I also pursued fitness coaching throughout school and through my first jobs in the medical device space. I always ended up taking on clients naturally because I enjoy teaching and using the knowledge I’ve spent my life learning to increase someone's vitality.

To say fitness and nutrition are a passion would be an understatement. These two worlds collide through the practice of being a functional health coach. Health coaches extend your healthcare provider's reach, offering guidance and support in implementing therapeutic plans, addressing challenges, and working through the day-to-day challenges that arise as you continue on your journey toward health and well-being.

Precision Nutrition Level 1

The Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification is the world's most respected nutrition education program. It provides the knowledge, systems, and tools needed to really understand how nutrition influences a person's health and fitness. This certification teaches cutting-edge nutrition science—from macros and micronutrients to energy balance, metabolism, and digestion. It also focuses on key ways nutrition impacts your stress, sleep, fitness and emotional health. Most importantly, it stresses the importance of sustainability, because if you can't keep a healthy habit it won't be effective long term.

CrossFit Level 2 (CFL2)

After completing my CrossFit Level 1 certification, I completed my CLF2. The second level is designed for CrossFit trainers who are serious about delivering quality coaching. The certification helped enhance my understanding of the CrossFit methodology, program design, and implementation. This certification also focuses on advanced skills while coaching others in workouts and movements.

Certified EP Specialist (CEPS)

The International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) credential is for allied health professionals such as nurses, physician assistants, and technicians who work with cardiac arrhythmias, ablation, and electrophysiological studies.
